My Students

I have always loved reading. I grew up in a home of readers and began reading at an early age. It was easy, fun, and exciting!

Unfortunately, for some Kindergarten students, their experiences with reading have been the exact opposite.

Some students struggle to understand how letters and sounds work together to form words. Others may not have the vocabulary necessary to be successful readers. As their teacher, it is my job to provide opportunities to practice skills that will develop these skills.

My Project

It is my goal to inspire students to become passionate readers by sharing my passion. But passion alone is not enough. The file folder games, Early Language Folder Game Libraries will allow students to practice skills until they have mastered them. Students will have so much fun playing with their friends that they may not even realize that they are strengthening reading skills! What a great way to learn!

With your donation, these wonderful Kindergarten students will discover the joy of reading while building necessary skills and playing games with friends!
