My Students

With times changing, students need to be able to engage in learning that is based on technology. They need to be exposed to blogs, WIKIS, online photo galleries and more. With a potential overhead projector, my students will be able to learn and master these 21st century learning tools.

My students come from a low-income, FOCUS school.

We now have about 80% on Free and reduced lunch. I do teach at a Title One, Focus School in North Carolina. My students are very smart, we just need to implement the use of technology more in our classrooms.

My Project

With the potential buy of this projector, my students will be able to log into the world of the 21st century learner. I will be able to hook up a laptop to the projector and teach through the world of online photos, books, videos and blogs. This is something that all classrooms need in order to keep up with the growing demands of technology in our society.

Using all our tools and resources around us is the most efficient way to teach.

We, as teachers need to use our best tools in order to reach our kids. These kids are a lot different from the kids twenty years ago. They are surrounded by technology; why not have it teaching and learning for our students as well?
