My Students

Academic integration is the goal; education needs to make a connection between “real life” and school work. A multimedia production unit will enhance our Teen Living class by incorporating technology skills into our curriculum.

I teach approximately 200 seventh and eighth grade students Teen Living in a rural, low income/high poverty community (2/3 of the student body receives free or reduced lunch benefits).

This grant would allow my students to combine multimedia production principles into a group of hands-on units of discovery. Without this equipment teaching this unit would be impossible for my students to experience the production of video and presentation media.

My Project

With these pieces of camera equipment and the media storage, experiencing multimedia production will be an actuality. We need your help to make this vision possible. Your assistance with this project will ensure that my students make the connection of school to “real life”.

I would like to thank you for considering helping my classes to design presentations to enhance their education.

This will be accomplished by giving them a practical application for the standards being addressed in our Teen Living classroom through self-expression and multimedia production.
