My Students

Have you ever watched young children straining to read words at the front of a classroom? I see it all the time when my 2nd and 3rd grade students try to read the board at the front of the room.

I teach elementary music in 2 portable classrooms at 2 different schools and service 500 students in one of the most economically depressed counties in Washington State.

Our music department was scheduled to get money from the school district this last year as part of a 7-year rotation of funding for items like this, but the funding was canceled because of the poor economy.

My Project

Just like books at the 2nd and 3rd grade level, having a larger projection screen will allow the display of larger print and easier to read words and information for these young developing readers. It will also allow room for more color and illustrations alongside the words, just like elementary level story books, in order to keep their interest at a high level.

A nice large projection screen will allow my students to easily see lesson presentations, keep their attention better with colorful images, help them enjoy learning and avoid eyestrain.

This screen will help to present clear and engaging lessons for many years to come. Thank you for your support of our project! :)
