With classrooms filled to the brim with students, that sometimes still happens. I will have about 22 Fourth grade students this coming school year. I teach all subjects in a self-contained classroom. We are a Title I school in a small rural Texas town. My students' readiness ranges from above grade level to 1 to 2 years below grade level. Our demographics are 40% Hispanic, 40% African American and 20% white. School districts are in a budget crunch. Our district doesn't have a large tax base from which to draw funds. My Project: Students will have the opportunity to review past lessons from me or lessons downloaded to the iPod from another site. Those students that need challenges will have the opportunity to create vodcasts (video casts) on topics they are studying for others to watch. The screen of the iPod Touch is big enough for 2 or 3 students to watch at the same time. Students love using technology. Please help put this type of technology in their hands. My students are always more engaged when they are able to use technology. I can see the focus and excitement in their faces. Students learn more when they love learning. Help me bring that love of learning to their lives. hide» My students need an iPod Touch to review a lesson that was previously taught, to watch or create other educational podcasts/vodcasts. details» |
