My Students

Did you ever wish you could get ready for college while still in high school? Help my students get prepared for the AP US History test during their junior year of high school and help them earn a 4 or higher on the test.

To describe my students, I can only use one word: GRIT.

My students are juniors who will be taking their first advanced placement course this upcoming school year. They have transformed over the years into young adults and have shown hard work and dedication to their school work, community, and families. Many of my students come from low income homes and do not have the required resources needed to be successful to prepare for this rigorous exam they will take in May 2011. They attend a charter school that was once one of the worst schools in the city, but THEY have defied all of the odds and have transformed our school into achieving school. They have chosen to stay in school and stay on the road to college. Their hard work has even been recognized by the President in a recent speech he gave on education.

My Project

By donating money to this project, you will help my students stay on the road to college. Your donation will help to purchase AP US History test preparation books and notecards that will allow them to take practice tests and prepare for the BIG test they will take May 6, 2011. By donating any amount possible, you will help my students have the confidence that they can be successful in a college like course and preparation needed to be successful on the AP exam in May. You will give them the extra edge they need.
