My students need Microsoft Word in their classroom so we have the ability to keep up with modern technology and write stories with clip art illustrations!

My Students

Have you ever created a document on Microsoft Word? Many of my students have not. Many of my students do not have access to a computer at home. In a technically progressing word this puts them behind. Our writing scores are improving, but we need more motivation. Will you help?

My students are unique, creative and soulful.

They want to achieve their dreams but have a hard time imagining the path to graduation. We are a Title One school in an urban area. We are diverse and large in population at our elementary school with five fifth grade classes. Unfortunately this results in fewer individual minutes with each students.

My Project

Microsoft Word will allow our students to write creative, persuasive and informational essays. They will have access to clip art to create imaginative stories with illustrations. They can create projects and learn to be professional. Our students are inspired by money and the language of money. Microsoft Word allows students to write with their language and convert using grammar corrections and spell check. Microsoft Word will open their eyes to possibilities of jobs that make the salaries they want, and the experience to let them earn the jobs they deserve.

It is important to me to have Microsoft Word in my classroom to open my students' eyes to technology and let them experience the necessary software to help them keep up with the rest of the world.
