My Students

An irresistible classroom library will attract even my most reluctant readers to the shelves and help all of my students discover new worlds through reading.

My students are entering their first year in junior high, and they need compelling books to keep them interested in reading during this critical transition.

As a first-year teacher myself, I have been scrapping together my resources to build an amazing classroom library for the kids--but with all of the great literature out there I can't do it all on my own!

My Project

I'm requesting two types of books with this project. First, I am requesting high interest books and book sets from popular series to hook my students on reading. Second, I am requesting historical works and additional books by authors we will study as a whole class to enrich the students' experience with our read-aloud novels.

This project will launch me and my students off on a thrilling adventure for our first year together.

The experiences my students have with literacy at this period in their lives will shape their academic careers for years to come.
