My students need 10 mounted vises that will allow them to solder onto circuit boards without having to hold the boards in their hands and risk getting burned.

My Students

Protect their hands!! Learning to solder is difficult enough without having to worry about burning yourself.

My students are pre-engineering students who are learning to create their own circuit boards.

They are required to solder components onto the boards and at this time, they have to hold the boards in their hands and hope that they don't drip hot solder on themselves. In addition, a shaky hand makes for poor soldering and their circuit boards may not work. Help me give them the confidence to learn a new skill and hopefully start them off on a career as an engineer.

My Project

I am asking for table mounted vises that my student's will use to hold their circuit board while they solder integrated circuits, resistors, capacitors, and many other components in place. These vises will ensure that the circuit boards the students use remain stable and ensure good solder contacts and increased student safety.

My project is important because it is the first of many hands on projects that will introduce my students to the concepts of engineering and hopefully give them a kick start into an engineering career.
