My Students

Do you remember sitting in class wondering when the teacher was going to catch up with the times and stop living in the previous decade? My students must be thinking the exact same thing.

My students live in a high poverty area of North Carolina.

Most of them respond best to media and are visual or tactile learners. Their past experiences in Language Arts has afforded them little exposure to appropriate technology. It is high time that they are exposed to the tool of technology in their literature and writing education.

My Project

Daily interaction with media and graphics will catapult the students to become 21st century learners. An LCD projector in the classroom will become a magnificent learning tool. Students will be able to create virtual projects and present them (preparing them for the business world). They will also be motivated by the interactive lessons using the wealth of online resources available.

Your donation (big or small) will be the key to helping our students rise above "the other side of the tracks" syndrome and have confidence in their learning and future.

Your donation's impact will be felt far beyond the classroom once the students are exposed to the world beyond the chalk board and overhead projector.
