My Students

I have never let my schooling interfere with my education. ~Mark Twain. I believe you have to do more than educate the old fashioned way. You have to open their minds!

My students come from predominantly poor families which is something I never experienced growing up as a student myself.

Therefore, I feel that in order for them to provide more for their future families, an education is the answer. I want to help them achieve this.

My Project

With a multimedia projector, I cannot only give the students valuable information about the subject matter, I can also show them examples of art and architecture and music from the time period we are studying. They find this much more interesting than just looking inside a textbook. I used a multimedia projector for the first time during the 2009-2010 school year and not only did I enjoy it, my students found it much more interesting especially since it stretches half way across my classroom wall.

My students will find learning so much more fun if I use a projector in the classroom.

Learning should be fun. In order to open their minds, I have to keep an open mind which means using different teaching styles.
