My Students

Every student can learn! Students are working on a multitude of levels in reading in math. Students reinforce their own learning, practice literacy and math objectives, and track their progress using centers.

Over 65% of the students at our school receive free or reduced lunch.

According to legislatures they are considered an "At-Risk" population. Yet, this student population works hard and is developing the skills they need for success in their own communities. When they come to school, they are only on the road to success.

My Project

These literacy centers and organizer will provide students with specific and targeted learning opportunities. The student who needs extra practice with below-level literacy skills will be able to practice. The student who needs a challenge will be able to practice higher leveled literacy and mathematics concepts. These books provide developmentally appropriate centers for all learning levels of children.

Education is the way children approach their freedom.

Instruction is delivered on each students' individual need and ability, and then students independently and collectively practice skills. These students will have increased opportunities to develop mathematics and literacy skills in small groups. These small group experiences will enhance their own skills and build cooperative group skills.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
