My Students

Do you remember the simple joys of childhood? For me, one of those joys was creating something of my very own. For my K5 students, this is often one of their joys as well. Many parents don't have the time or the resources to set up a paint center, but with your help, I will.

My rural South Carolina kindergartners are always full of life!

We are in a public school, and as you probably know, funding continues to be cut. Sadly, items like paint aren't "vital", so students don't get to use them like they once would. Our school is high poverty, so I know that many parents will be unable to provide quality paint and paper for their children to express creativity. Please help!

My Project

Paint and paper may seem like simple resources, and to some may seem unimportant, but they are not. Students learn in many ways. We sometimes use paint to not only allow children to be creative, but to assess learning. It is an age appropriate way to assess, and the students have fun!

Thank you so much for considering this project.

It will certainly give my students benefits they may not have otherwise. Just imagine the happy, toothless grins as my five year olds experience creativity firsthand.
