Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

HELP !! Our children have thirty minutes for lunch and this includes their recess time !! When they finally get outside to enjoy their 10 minute recess there's nothing to do ! I would love to have the kids come back to school and find that they can now play basketball at recess !!!

Our building consists of about 130 kindergartners and first graders.

We don't have a gym, so going outside to play after lunch is a real treat! There's no grass, no playground equipment, no benches but we do have lots of happy children running around playing tag and using balls and hula hoops. BUT...imagine their smiles if they could come back to school in September and find 4 basketball hoops and basketballs to play with !! The hoops would be removable so that we can bring them inside after lunch and not have to worry about them being damaged during the night or disappearing. Please help me make their play time enjoyable ! My students love playing basketball.

My Project

Just imagine over a hundred children being able to have something to do at recess that they truly enjoy especially when we don't have a gym where they can play basketball or anything else. Our gym periods consists of indoor classroom activities which limits the activities that can be done.

My children face so many challenges.

They work hard and enjoy learning. It would be wonderful to be able to surprise them with a "new" playground. So please find it in your hearts to surprise my children in the new school year and help us start off the year with lots of excitement !
