My Students

What does our society need? Well-educated citizens well versed in 21st century skills. Here at our school we strive to provide our students with opportunities to gain 21st Century skills through Project Based Learning.

Our students at this early college high school, earn an Associate's Degree along with their CORE 40 high school diploma.

We strives to serve first generation college students who come from diverse backgrounds. In 2010 we graduated our first class with a 100% graduation rate.

My Project

This camera and flash cards will help our students gain exposure to how to use technology to add depth to their understanding. The resources are also used to help engage students in viable discussion and debate, critical thinking, and appropriate usage of technology. For example, our US History teacher asks our students to create a documentary comprised of 3 episodes surrounding the themes of: corruption, prejudice, conflict. Students then had to apply these themes to today's society to compose the 4th episode.

The students at our school are doing critical work to better prepare themselves to be productive and successful citizens in the 21st century.

These resources and projects will allow them to accomplish these goals. Multiple teachers will utilize these pieces of equipment. Students will learn to use technology in a variety of content areas.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
