Who Doesn't Love Baseball?

My students need a set of baseball bases, two softballs, a bat, and two catchers mitts.

My Students

My first graders are always eager to play organized sports. The only problem is. . . we have no equipment. While trying to teach fair play and good sportsmanship, I'd like for them to experience playing a real game of baseball using more than just pieces of paper for bases and bare hands for gloves.

My students are great.

They've overcome personal obstacles and just like to have a little fun. Our school is a new one, and we're fortunate for that. However, the students would really love new equipment to have more to do for recess and free time activities.

My Project

Students learn good sportsmanship when they are allowed to take part in organized sports. I strive to teach them new games, along with the correct rules and regulations, so that they will have some sort of background as they play in other, possibly larger, venues.

If you would help us in obtaining these much needed bases, softballs, bat, and catchers mitts, you would be making a difference with twenty or so eager little first graders.

Some are not able to play organized team sports at any other time in their lives. You'll truly provide a new experience for many. Thank you!
