This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Education is the key to all our futures. Having basic materials and supports for my students shouldn't be a privilege, but rather the standard! This is my first of many more efforts to have a successful classroom, full of successful students.

My students are tomorrow's future.

They are an eccentric, exciting, great group of kids. The school community that we are a part of strives for academic, mental, and physical growth, excellence, and cohesiveness. My students and school community are "diamonds in the rough" that deserve a fair shot to succeed. These resources will be a great start in making this happen.

My Project

The resources that I am requesting will help my students this year, and for years to come. The arsenal I am hoping to acquire will change my student's lives for the better. They will have reading and math resources to use throughout the school year. As their teacher, I will have access to a laminating machine that will preserve teacher-made and store bought resources for years to come! These resources will be affecting many student's lives.

This project is so important to my future students and I.

As an educator in NYC, new ideologies, programs, professional development, and a diverse group of students call for educators to be adaptable, mutable, reliable, and savvy in many areas. So, these materials will continue to assist the young learners that I serve. I would love if you could help us to continue to accomplish our goals!
