My Students

Help my students be able to take pride in their own work. You know how good you feel when you are praised by your peers please allow my students to feel that. Also, I have very few samples and this document camera will allow me to share them with the entire class at one time.

My school is located in northern MS in a rural area.

I have large classes and not a lot of materials. My school does not give a lot to the science department -- their main focus is on the Math and English departments because of low test scores. Most of my students come from poor families and don't have a lot of praise at home.

My Project

I will use this document camera weekly if not everyday. This camera allows me to take student work right up to the camera and project it on the board. This makes the students more accountable for their work. Also, they are able to get praise from their peers when they do something correct. Also, I teach science and don't have enough of anything for all the students to have their own. With this camera I will be able to show them the samples all at the same time while we disuses it. Then I will be able to pass it around.

Please help me to give the students the extra praise they they might not get anywhere else.

Also, allow my students the chance to see items in their science class that they will never see anywhere else.
