This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Isn't it great to do fun activities in PE class? With this new equipment we can!

Students at my school are so wonderful.

Our mascot is the TIGER! So, every day when I ask them how they are doing they all say....GRRRRRRREAT! Just like Tony the Tiger! We are a fairly new school so we do not have as much equipment as other schools in and around our district. Our students need to have the opportunity to play new and exciting games that help to teach them how to work well with others and also improve their overall fitness.

My Project

These new pieces of equipment will help my students work together first and foremost. In PE we learn how to play sports and other healthy games, but we also learn how to communicate and work with others. We set individual and group goals and try to be successful in achieving those goals. My students will learn how to not only get along with others, but they will improve on skills such as hand-eye coordination, aiming, shooting, depth perception, catching, and improve their muscular strength also.

This project is very important to me.

I would love to be able to provide new and exciting activities that help my students improve their skills and abilities, and help them learn how to work well with others. I think this is such an important part of life; as a society we have to learn how to work together and get along with others, even those not like us. When we take the time to get to know other people we can learn how to appreciate and respect them. Students need opportunities to learn this.
