My Students

Do you remember that great city you built out of blocks or how cool you looked in dress-up clothes? How cool it would be to be able to share those great times with the parents by being able to take home pictures of those times.

Kindergarten child love to explore with many manipulative and create great things out of items.

They love to show their friends the item that they made or how great something looks. Just think if they could share that great joy with their family at home. So many times those great ideas have to be broken down and put away in the classroom and then the children forget all about telling their family about their great time. If the child had a picture they could take home and share that time with their family... how exciting that would be.

My Project

Sharing the pictures at home with their family about what they did at school will give the child a chance to share with their parents. This is also good communication for the school with the parents as they show what is going on in the classroom. When you start sending the pictures home it could just be a good verbal way for the children to talk to their parents about the picture. As the year goes on the children can start writing about the picture or activity and then take the picture and writing home to share with the families. Sharing with the families verbally and then writing about them will help the children become better readers and writers for the future. And the great thing about the camera is that it will be there for many years for many classes.

Students love to share their projects with others.

It is often so hard to do that with their parents, if they even do talk to their parents, because they have a hard time remembering the idea. Being able to make that time of sharing between the child and the parent will be a great addition to each family. Dad, mom look what I did at school today would be a great addition for any parent to hear from their child when they come home from school.
