My Students

Do you remember what it was like to not be able to see the board?

The students in my classroom are low socio-economic status children.

They live in Mississippi in an area affected by Hurricane Katrina. My classroom is a very diverse classroom which requires very diverse instruction to meet the needs of all of the students that enter my doors.

My Project

In my classroom, we only have a chalkboard. This is a challenge for many of my students because they cannot effectively visualize the instruction written on the board. Having a dry erase board in my classroom will enhance the learning experience my students will receive everyday.

This project is very important because it will allow me to communicate with my students effectively through visual instruction.

My students will greatly appreciate a dry erase board and the fact that they won't have to struggle to see written instructions.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
