My Students

Have you ever felt that if you were more organized your day would go better? I know my class's day would.

My class is a first grade classroom with eighteen to twenty, 6-8 year olds.

We live in a district in Oklahoma. Like all districts ours is struggling to meet everyday needs. This year is suppose to be the toughest in years. We may not even get our daily supplies like staples, paper clips and paper purchased for us.

My Project

The items I have asked for will help students meet the many of our math PASS skills. We will be able to learn many calendar skills, estimation, graphing, adding, subtracting to name a few of the skills these items cover. Our calendar will be neatly organized for clearer meaning and easier access with the chart stand. The file folder pocket chart will be used for daily assignments and easy access to them.

This project is important because of the many benefits it will have to my classroom.

It will aid in easy storage, organization and displaying of our daily calendar. It will allow my students to grow in math skills that I am otherwise limited in displaying. It will allow for manipulation of the calendar for greater knowledge and growth of our day to day lives.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
