My Students

After five years of college I have finally become a certified teacher! Despite challenges I found a teaching position in this economy in an urban school but have very few resources for my new students as a beginning teacher. I have all of the passion I need, now I need resources to extend learning.

I do not know my students yet!

I will meet them in August but already know that they deserve the best opportunities to learn. Beginning in the fall, I will have a chance to improve the quality of learning for a group of kindergartens and need the supplies to help jump start my teaching career and their early stages of learning.

My Project

The rug I am requesting is a place of learning. It will be a place to gather, share ideas, teach mini-lessons, and reflect on our days together. It will be a place children will learn to love reading! The charts I have requested are going to enhance learning of mathematics, language arts, and allow for a classroom that is organized so student learning can soar!

I have been waiting to be a teacher since I was in the second grade, now I have my big break!

This is not just a job to me, it is a passion, a life. I believe I have a talent of teaching to share with my students. I need the materials to enrich my teaching and give them the best opportunities for each student to learn. Please allow my first year of teaching to be a successful one. I cannot do it without your generosity!
