Laser Printer Needed - Lack of Technology Prohibits Learning

My students need a laser printer in the classroom so they can print their computer work quickly and effectively.

My Students

Imagine a classroom that engages students with the use of cutting edge technology that grabs their attention. A laser printer will do that for my students.

I teach high school English in an inner city school in Missouri.

Students often feel lost and uninterested in education because of various outside influences that affect their ability to concentrate on learning. Everyday is a challenge to present engaging lessons. One thing my students have in common is a love for technology. They enjoy going to the computer lab because it allows them to participate more fully in this digital world.

My Project

However, our school is very old and under-equipped. This printer would be the first step in what I hope will be a technological awakening for my students. Our computer lab is barely usable and this printer would be a much needed outlet for all of the hard work that my students put into their writing assignments. With this resource, my students could enter their writing into contests and show off their writing talent!

A classroom in the 21st century can only accomplish so much with blackboards and chalk.

It is my hope that by incorporating more and more technology into the classroom, my students will stay engaged in the learning process.
