My Students

Do you remember how challenging phonics learning was in grade school? Help my students find fun in phonics by funding some exciting new phonics games for the classroom.

I teach in a low income school where most of my children come from homes of non-English speaking parents.

These children are faced with the challenges of learning English with virtually no help at home. Although the district textbooks provide wonderful lessons, I would like to supplement the curriculum with fun and exciting phonics games. These games will give my students the chance to learn phonics in an educational yet entertaining way.

My Project

We need three new phonics games to supplement curriculum in the classroom. Every day my students have language arts lessons where they are taught a variety of phonemic skills. Throughout the course of the lessons they have opportunities to practice these skill using worksheets that coincide with the reading series. I would like to break away from using worksheets and provide my students with new and exciting ways to practice and reinforce the skills they are learning by using phonics games.

Please give my students the opportunity to learn phonics in a challenging and exciting way.

I believe they are anxious to learn and I want to make learning enjoyable for them. You can make this possible by funding my proposal for phonics games.
