This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"A new soccer team is in need of supplies!" This banner describes our situation clearly...we lack supplies for our boys soccer team. Soccer balls are necessary to play soccer :)

Our school is located in an urban setting in California.

Many of our students are from low economic backgrounds and lack the funds to purchase additional sporting equipment. Our students are regularly transported via buses to our school from around the city. Our school is a magnet school. Many of our students have the intentions of graduating from high school and attending college in the future. I am always impressed by the motivation to succeed from my students; they truly are deserving of this equipment.

My Project

"Goal!!!!!" Nothing beats that great sound. With this equipment, the boys soccer team will have the ability to compete at a regional level for a boys soccer title. Soccer challenges students to work together, a skill that will be necessary in their work place. And, playing soccer creates confidence and focus. Students perform better in their academic career with the determination created by playing sports such as soccer.

Your generous gift will definitely inspire the soccer team members (and coaches) to perform better and to work their hardest.
