Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Wires, wires, wires! Why can't everything be wireless? My students enjoy interactive learning by using our SmartBoard. The wires make it dangerous for the students to come up to the board. I have tried to tape them down but it is a temporary fix and still a hazard. Please help!

I am currently teaching 22 first graders.

My class consists of ELL (English Language Learners) students. A majority of my students do not speak English at home. We are located in a low-socioeconomic community. Most of my students do not have access to a computer at home so it is imperative to use our SmartBoard for interactive learning as much as possible.

My Project

My students will benefit by getting a presentation cart because they will be able to come up to use the SmartBoard more frequently. Right now I tape the wires to the floor but after the floor is swept at the the end of the day the tape gets loose and comes off. The presentation cart will provide a safer learning environment for the students. They will be able to walk up to the SmartBoard without worrying that their feet will get tangled in the wires.
