My Students

My students enjoy the laboratory portion of my chemistry class. It is an important part of their scientific education. They also need to be safe in the laboratory, and updating my safety equipment will allow for this to happen.

My students attend the Gifted Academy in an urban district in Northern Illinois.

The school is 75% free and reduced lunch. The program is housed inside a traditional high school in the district. The program is geared towards gifted students who want a college preparatory education.

My Project

The laboratory safety devices will change the dynamics of the laboratory. It will allow my students to have updated laboratory safety equipment. I always teach the importance of safety, and having proper safety equipment is one way to emphasize this point.

Your donations will make a difference because it will allow me to discard the older worn out laboratory aprons and goggles.
