My Students

Do you remember the beginning of the school year and getting your supply list? The excitement of picking out your items, writing your name on each one and loading up your new backpack. Unfortunately many of my students can not afford school supplies and this experience.

This is my 12th year teaching third grade at a very low socioeconomic school in Florida.

Due to budget cuts I am unable to afford to buy my class the supplies they need and deserve. They work so hard and deserve to experience the joys of starting a year off with new things.

My Project

Some of the following supplies I have requested are glue, construction paper, colored pencils, and colorful pencils to name a few. With your help my students will have some of the tools they need to start the year off on the right foot. They will not have to say they couldn't complete an assignment due to lack of school resources. They will be able to reach for the stars and obtain their goals.
