My Students

Our reliance on computers has become so strong with regards to work and education and my students are no exception!

My students are extremely bright, high achieving teenagers, mostly from low-income households.

They go on to top colleges around the country and even internationally. They are diligent, interesting, open-minded and a pleasure to work with. Although they seem to excel in math and science, they are fabulous writers and readers as well.

My Project

I currently have two lap tops in the classroom at all times for the students to use. They use the lap tops to do research, write papers and essays and create projects and presentations. What would really make the classroom a true educational haven is a printer. Most of my students either have computers at home or have access to a computer but printers are another story. A lot of the students either don't have one or its broken and we all know how that goes. Printers are quite finicky. I have also included some printer ink that goers with the printer.

Your donation would help us purchase a printer that will remain in the classroom, safely, at all times for the students to use.

Student work is much easier to review when it is typed and printed out. Furthermore, comfort with computer use is so important in college so I encourage students to type everything they can when completing an essay or project. Being able to walk into the classroom, pull something up and print it out to hand in would make everything much easier an for us!
