My Students

The other day I saw our Director playing volley ball with the middle school PE class. He had a pole held horizontally between two ladders. The pole dipped in the middle, so he stood there, holding it up, as the students volleyed the ball over and around him.

We need PE equipment.

After seeing the dedication and ingenuity shown by our Director to play volleyball, this project and a few others comes to you. We don't have any PE equipment for team sports like soccer, softball, football, baseball or volleyball. Like all students, ours want to be outside and active! Problem is that we don't have the equipment. We need the basics. We are a state chartered school that has Kindergarten through 8th graders. We were the first state chartered school in our state. We don't receive local city or or county funding. The result is that we operate on 60% of the funding that other schools in the area. We rely on donations for art, P.E. and music supplies.

My Project

Our students can get active and learn teamwork playing soccer. We have kept them active with running, games and calisthenics for the past couple of years, but next year the kids want to play soccer and volleyball and we need the equipment we do not have and cannot afford.

Team sports are so important to teach students fairness and team work.

We've been teaching basic fitness and calisthenics and need equipment to move on to team sports. Please help us obtain the equipment we need.
