My Students

Use your imagination! That is what Inkheart and Inkspell are all about and what these sixth graders will enjoy reading!

These students are in sixth grade and attend a public elementary school in the state of New York.

The district is considered high poverty, where several students come from low-income families. These students use a very structured and rigid reading program and look forward to reading novels throughout the course of the year.

My Project

These novels will not only reduce the fear of "big, thick books" but allow students to become readers for the majority of their lives. These novels can be used as guided reading groups and for various discussions and projects regarding this great trilogy.

Help to give these students the opportunity to enjoy reading and not fearing "big books." More importantly allowing them to have fun while learning and to become life long readers.
