My Students

From flat and boring to dimensional and exciting, that’s what a document camera can do for any classroom. I’m currently a Tech Integration Specialist with a Charter School. We currently do not have any document cameras, yet I have teachers eager to use them with their students.

The 740 students that attend this Charter school are AWESOME!

Coming from diverse backgrounds and having so much enthusiasm makes teaching here wonderful. As with many school around the country, budget cuts have made it difficult to get these students the technology they need and deserve. Many of my students still live in a home with no computer and/or Internet access. Atlantis is their place to explore the rich technology around them, yet we are unable to provide it to them. Document cameras would allow many student to see and explore the vast world around them, engage them in rich content and provide collaboration.

My Project

From flat and boring to dimensional and exciting, that’s what a document camera can do for any classroom, especially mine. I’m currently a Tech Integration Specialist with a Charter School. We currently do not have any document cameras, yet I have teachers eager to use them with their students. ELA would like to show off student writing and create a collaborative peer editing session. My math teachers are eager to demonstrate complex math problems utilizing manipulative, which by the way show up great under a document camera. Even my specialists have plans for bringing life back into their lessons with visual displays. We are ready to get rid of flat and boring and bring dimension and excitement to the classroom through the use of digital document cameras.
