My Students

Have you ever read a book that you could not put down? Suzanne Collins' novel will keep my students at the edge of their (classroom) seats!

Eighth grade is a very difficult age to teach.

During this age, students become more concerned with their social life, then with their academics. Getting students to read is a challenge. Only an exciting and suspenseful novel can motivate students and get them to read. I believe I have found that novel.

My Project

Never has a novel had an impact on my class as the book "The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins. After reading this novel, my students are eager to follow the story of Katniss Everdean. "Catching Fire" is the exciting sequel that I would love to teach in my class.

The novel "Catching Fire" will be a favorite for my students.

The novel has action, suspense and a theme that will challenge students to think about the injustice in the world. Please help bring this to life!
