My students need 28 football flags to participate in flag football games, tag games, and various cardiovascular fitness activities.

My Students

Students in the adapted physical education class don't have equal access to physical education equipment. The flags they currently use include triple threat belts, Velcro belts and various other mix matched belts.

My students love physical activity!

They are special needs students who participate in an adaptive physical education program and they look forward to participating in various sports that they see the rest of the kids in PE participating in. It is a secondary school with students from 7th to 12th grade in California.

My Project

Students will be able to participate in running games that include pulling flags while improving their cardiovascular systems. They will be able to participate in modified flag football games as well. They will learn how to put a belt on, defense and offense strategies, and how to include these skills into a game like situation.

Students will feel like all of the other students in the school who play team sports.

They will feel valued and respected by having proper equipment that is uniform and nice. It will increase excitement to have equipment that is equitable.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
