Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students love to read books by Kevin Henke's. Their favorite book is Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse. We are starting a Reader's Circle literacy center in my class where students come and discuss a favorite book. Students need their individual book to use for the circle activity to work.

I teach 25 beautiful first grade students in a special needs school.

Most of my students receive free lunch. My students love school. They come to school everyday and work hard to learn all that they can. They want to make this world a better place for them and their families.

My Project

We use a Reader's Circle in our room to inspire young readers and discuss books that help build good character. My class loves to read Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse. We only have one copy and the copy is worn. My students voted to use Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse for Reader's Circle. I need multiple copies of this book for the circle to work properly.

You would give my students the confidence that they need to build a healthy discussion group.

They would build strong character straits by reading and discussing this book. I want to give my students every benefit to succeed. Please help me prepare this class for the future.
