My Students

We have two computers in yearbook class so we are limited in the amount of time each student gets to work on their pages and the amount of time a page is available for editing. If we had a projector we could view each page together,give feedback and edit each page together,resulting in fewer mistakes.

The staff members on The Mustang are very bright, imaginative and creative.

They all work extraordinarily well together. They know that the final product is a reflection of the hard work and extra time that they have put in to the yearbook. The Mustang staff use their time wisely and spend a large portion of their time brainstorming and developing new ideas. Their time could be spent more efficiently if there was access to more technology but unfortunately there is not a lot of extra money in our district for electives.

My Project

My students need a projector so that we can share input and edit the yearbook more efficiently. Having a projector would make a dramatic change in yearbook class. Every year we have a new group of students joining the class and our yearbook is produced completely online. Right now we have to explain the program to two students at a time which takes up valuable time that could be spent creating pages and new designs. With the projector we would be able to introduce and view the program as a class giving us more time to work on the pages and more time for editing. The projector would also allow the class to critique each page and give the designer constructive criticism and compliments, resulting in a superior product.

Having a projector will benefit the yearbook staff each and every year since we produce a new yearbook annually.

With thirty staff members, the money and space for each student to have a computer is not likely. The projector will not only help us to produce a better yearbook but will also help us to become more unified in the production.
