My Students

Do you remember what it was like to be read to when you were little? My students love to listen to stories and follow along. Please help us make this possible!

I work in a high needs community with imaginative and curious children.

My students love to read and I want to be able to fuel their love of reading by making a listening center that will encourage and inspire them to read more. As well, I have several students who are just learning to speak English. If we are able to receive these books on CD it will enable them to learn how to read.

My Project

I teach first grade and it is such an important year for children. First grade is the year where children begin to read and foster a love of reading. I want to immerse my children in books that will inspire them and make them want to read. My students love listen to books on CD, but I do not have enough resources to allow them to do this. This project will an opportunity for my students to be able to listen to books on tape and follow along.

Donations to my project will make a huge difference in the lives of my students.

My students love to be read to and they love to read along with books. My students do not always have the opportunity to be read to and this project will enable them this experience.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
