My Students

"Put away all that excess baggage" or "clean out your desks" are things I heard when I was in school. With having several groups of children in my classroom, its is hard for them to store materials.

My students are part of a Title One school.

We have students who do not even know what a cookie is, and then we also have students who knew their colors and numbers at the age of 2. Therefore, we ability group our kids in order to meet the needs of all children and hope to increase all test scores, not just those suffering.

My Project

My students will use the "seat sacks" to hold books and materials, as we change classes twice a day. When students go to one classroom to receive reading/writing/spelling instruction, then another classroom for math/science/social studies instruction, they have no where to put their stuff if they are sharing a desk with another student. This hopefully will solve that problem.

By having these "seat sacks", the children will be allowed a little more freedom in classes.

My children that are in my math group, because they have no where to store crayons, scissors, etc, usually don't do anything other than workbook pages because of lack of storage space for supplies. Hopefully, this will alleviate that issue.
