My Students

Have you ever been without a place to keep your things? Have you ever created the perfect document on the computer, but you had no where to save it? Have you ever created an awesome graphic and then lost it because you couldn't save it? My kids run into this every day. They have no way to save!

I teach 8th grade Integrated Science (physics, chemistry, and life science combined).

My school is in a rural community with a 85% Hispanic/Spanish speaking population. We are a Title 1 school and 100% of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch. We are also an International Baccalaureate MYP school and have a really great program!

My Project

No supplies is our issue. We really need these memory keys. My students can only save things on a special drive on the computers at school, so they cannot take work with them to work on elsewhere, they cannot move their presentations, or save them to take them home to work on. I try to do as much work as possible on the student computers. My students' futures will be on the computer, it seems silly to have them fill out a worksheet when in college and in life they will be using computers for everything every day.

We would like to get as many memory keys as possible to allow the students to use and borrow them when they have a large personal or group project.

We'd like to build at least a class set of them. This supply will start us out. These are hard working, great kids who need just the basics sometimes! Please help us out if you can! Make our year work smoothly and keep us able to teach in these hard times!
