My Students

Welcome to a Music Classroom of the 21st Century! Tape recorders have become obsolete. The vocals and accompaniments present in today's music classrooms are recorded digitally, downloaded to a computer and then burned to a CD. My students need a portable digital recorder to record their vocals.

I teach in a progressive middle school in Oklahoma.

My students are eager to keep up with the advancements in technology. They like to compete and strive to improve. Our program has been greatly affected by recent budget cuts. We need help to obtain this piece of equipment.

My Project

My students need a portable digital audio recorder. This recorder will serve many purposes. First of all, I will be able to record piano accompaniments for my students. Vocal students need recorded accompaniments for practicing class music, contest music, and other events in which they participate. Second, we will be able to record our choir classes for critical analysis. This is an important tool to use in preparation for concerts and contests. We'll be able to hear areas that are good and others that need improvement. Finally,in order to compete in state competitions, the voice student of today must submit CD recordings of their vocals. My students need this recorder to be able to compete!

The music classroom of today must keep up with the technological advances in order to participate and compete.

My students are active participants in this changing world and need the equipment to record their vocals and accompaniments!
