This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Moving on up to 1st grade! Hello I'm a beginning teacher who will be moving into first grade from kindergarten. I have spoken with the retiring teacher and realized that the classroom really lacks supplemental math instruction to their core curriculum.

My students come from a very low income area.

Often they are products of single parents who are struggling financially. I would love to give these students the opportunity for more hands on math practice. I have to say, everything I have done for my students has always been greatly appreciated.

My Project

These resources I have requested will give the students hands on practice to sharpen their math skills. I remember being young and falling into the monotony of kill and drill math practice sheets. It gave me a distaste for math and I would like to change that.

Please help me give these students a chance to excel in math.

They deserve an even start with the rest of the more affluent population. Their minds are brilliant and are ready to soak up all the information they are given.
