My Students

Improvement in physical, cognitive, and social skills wanted! Help to improve all of these skills in sixth grade students, especially for recess during the winter months!

I teach in a public school in the state of NY, where 70% of the student population receives free and/or reduced lunch.

So many of our students lack the resources to be able to play a Wii and this project will give them the opportunity to do this, while also improving their physical, social and cognitive skills.

My Project

These resources will help to change their lives by giving them something "fun and cool" to work towards. By having a Wii, students will be more likely to complete homework on time and will put forth extra effort in their school work. The Wii will serve as a motivational tool and be something that students can work towards. Students will also learn to work as a team and share with one another in regards to playing the Wii. By using this in the winter months, students will receive more physical fitness, and gain improvements in their cognitive and social skills.

Please help to make a world of difference for these students and help them to gain enthusiasm in school, while improving on their physical, social and cognitive skills.

Keeping these students active, especially in the winter months will make a huge difference in their education.
