Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We have a high population of students from low-income homes. They do not get to hear music the way it was designed to be heard. They need to hear it as if they were there in the concert hall or right up on stage!

My students are very talented and energetic.

They are working hard every day in their English, Spanish, science and social studies classes. They deserve to hear high-quality music and they deserve have their talent heard! With this sound system, my students will feel like professionals and have an authentic musical experience.

My Project

I am requesting a high-quality sound system through which I will play European classical music, jazz, Chinese classical music, Indian classical music, Merengue, Bachata, Salsa and many more genres. We will also use it at several performances throughout the year where students will sing, dance and play instruments.

I believe by exposing students to high-quality music of many genres their minds are expanding and thinking in new ways.

It opens them up to new experiences. Talent is not worth much unless you can be heard.
