My Students

Did you enjoy playing softball, soccer, jump rope, or dodge ball as a kid? Our students do also, but our school PE Department needs some equipment!

I teach at an elementary school.

Our students are very active and we need to focus that energy in PE with many hands on activities: tug of war, basketball, soccer, jump ropes, etc. We are opening a new facility for our school on May 3rd, 2010 and we will be unable to take the currently shared PE equipment. It belongs to another school in our district.

My Project

We have a nice new gym with no equipment. The items we are requesting will allow our children to participate in individual and group sports activities during their PE class: indoor soccer, tug-O-war, and basketball. Our fields have been sodded but are not ready for children to play on them so most of our activities will have to be done inside.

Providing these much needed resources for my students will give us some of the basic equipment we need.

It will also provide the necessary tools for them to participate in team sports indoors until we are able to play outdoors on our fields. Thank you for considering this project.
