My Students

Do you remember being absent from school and having trouble making up your work? My students are already behind and need help catching up!

My students attend the district disciplinary educational alternative placement school, or DEAP.

Students Kindergarten through sixth grade come to me when they have been placed by their home school for disciplinary actions. Although I am a teacher available to help them, there are many grade levels and subjects to teach. An iPod, with their textbooks available, will allow the students to listen to their textbooks and provide the extra reading support needed.

My Project

With iPods available to students, their textbooks will be right at their fingertips without having to take up all the room. Most textbooks are already on CD's with the chapters on them. As the teacher, I will be able to load the textbooks on the iPods and allow students the extra reading support that they need.

This project will help to create an environment that allows my students to continue to keep up with school work required during their DEAP placement.

Many students who come to me are already in danger or failing and struggle with their subjects. The iPods will allow these students to hear their textbooks and follow along with the chapters.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
