My Students

Everyday my students are faced with the challenge of creating unique and original artwork. What they lack is a library to inspire and expand their art knowledge. Internet resources can only go so far!

I teach art to students kindergarten through eighth grade.

They come to art once a week for 45 minutes. Most of my junior high students do not have a strong appreciation for art and require much more inspiration to create a work of art. Our budget is tight, and I end up spending most of it on basic art materials.

My Project

Included in the list of books I have requested are a number of inspirational books about art, and informative books about different artists and styles. These books and educational materials will help my students expand their knowledge and appreciation for art.

The students at our school could definitely use a little inspiration!

With our current budget I have enough money to buy the staples for an art room, crayons, markers, pencils, and paper. This project will be a start for my students to have some educational materials to expand their art knowledge.
