I am a second grade teacher in a high poverty school.

Most of my students come from single family homes. Parents are struggling to make ends meet and work long hours. My students are very eager to learn but are at a disadvantage. They do not have many games at home and lack skills such as teamwork, following directions and reading comprehension.

My Project

I would like for my students to have fun while learning. The comprehension center activities I have chosen will allow my students to learn comprehension skills while having fun and collaborating with their peers. These activities will target specific comprehension skills needed to help students understand what they read.

Please help me make learning as engaging as possible for my students.
