My Students

OK, so you have a NEW PLACE. And all you have is rooms and rooms of "stacked stuff" - right? :-) Our facility is beautiful, and my students are working VERY hard to blend 3 distinct OLD SCHOOL spirits into our NEW SCHOOL spirit. We're stacking and piling and tucking and hanging - STUFF. Help!

The kids here are great - and WANT badly to belong to this "new place" and all that that entails.

My student council kids (who came from 3 different schools - are collecting decorations and boxes and supplies and props and items and things and and and... and we have a great, dry, secure room to put that all in. But they're losing things and stepping on things and getting so very disorganized - because they have no shelving. No drawers. No benches. No work tables. No storage bins. So the kids have everything in plastic and paper bags on the floor, stacked one on the other. They get rushed and frustrated trying to find the RIGHT STUFF - in all the stuff. They WANT to do the best they can for the school - but too often they waste valuable time looking for stuff, rather than doing stuff, with the stuff. :-) If we could arrange for shelving and storage bins - OH would they squeal with joy!

My Project

The students will keep all their paints, scissors, papers, purple pumpkins, Christmas lights, strobe lights, fishing line (for balloon arches), balloons, tape, brushes, chocolate fountains (OK, there's just one...), gift bags, thank you letters, batteries, bubble makers, hula hoops, ropes, markers, pens, pencils, tape measures, life size people shaped cutouts, garland, etc. etc. etc. etc. --- up off the floor. Organized. Ready to go!

My Student Council students are responsible for balloons and posters and streamers and music and limbo and games and contests and sno-cones and assemblies and Perfect Attendance Galas and Distinguished Scholars Night and Open House and Welcome In-Coming Freshmen and Prom and Homecoming and Sadie Hawkins and and and --- they deserve more than the floor - for their stuff.
