Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember sitting in class and staring into space? Why not make school even more fun? My students need games to enhance their learning. Textbooks are out and games are in.

My class consists of 26 students.

19 students are English Language Learners. 8 students are resources students. These children do not get too much support at home because most of their parents can't help them. Unfortunately, these children are growing up in a very poor area in NY.

My Project

All students have different learning styles. It is not enough for these students to be taught a concept just once. They need to keep practicing concepts in order to retain them longer. This is where games are essential. Games keep kids focused. They learn while playing educational/strategy games and they aren't even aware that they are learning.

You can change these children's lives by providing them with more opportunities to learn.

Playing thinking games not only helps students learn strategies but it's simply fun. Why not have fun in school?
